While Jessica may share no blood relation to us East Coast Tandem Pratts, we love this record so much that we have adopted her and she is now fondly known around here as “Cousin Jessica”. Sure, this album may have initially piqued my interest merely because we happen to share a last name. But I was so immediately impressed and jealous at how talented the California Pratts are! Damn. Here in the Pitch has a real timeless quality to it. The first time I heard it didn't feel like the first time at all. It’s hard to explain but it all felt very familiar right away - I could almost hum along - like it was an album my parents played when I was a kid that I was hearing again for the first time in 30 years.
