Wilmar Guarnizo’s Honey Processed Caturra + Retrochrome from Film Photography Project

For August we paired Retrochrome from @filmphotographyproject with Wilmar Guarnizo’s honey processed caturra. The film is “reminiscent old @natgeo photos” while the coffee has “all the fruit characteristics while still being squeaky clean.”

The zine also featured a conversation between James Joiner and Dominick Lewis aka Photodom, an artist and photographer from Brooklyn, New York.

"I first got into photography shortly after high school. I bought a Nikon D3200 as a graduation gift for myself and instantly fell in love with the camera. I went to college for two years on an NROTC scholarship studying electrical engineering at Drexel University and dropped out at 20 to become a photographer full time. I told myself I would never settle for nothing less than exactly what I want, and here I am today."

Dominick has a fundraiser in the works with plans to open the first Black-owned, brick-and-mortar camera store in Brooklyn—one of only a handful in the country. Learn more about it and pitch in.

When you post pictures taken with Double Exposure club film to Instagram, be sure to use the hashtag #tandemdoubleexposure so we can potentially feature them in the ‘zine!
